Is there any church that actually lets them bring a casket in?
Most Christian churches do... I've been to numerous and that's the norm.

gee, wish I could help, but I was never a dub. However, since being on this board and hearing so much from people's experiences with JW funerals it's just another reason I am sooooo glad I said "no thank you" when I answered a JW door knock. I'm sure non-dubs, having sat through a JW funeral would find them a very negative experience - I know I would.

Bible study with PO/sister and wife, did not go well......
by insearchoftruth inlast night....did not go well at all, at least in my opinion.
i feel that the sister from her conversations with my wife started on a quite defensive mode....did my best to stay level headed, but i know there were times i was frustrated, and it showed.. .
the husband and wife were about 40 minutes late, due to traffic, and they were not prepared to discuss michael/jesus, and with respect to the doctrine change, he merely provided me a 1995 and 1997 wt article, when he and i spoke on the phone, he said he was going to show me in the bible, he sort of danced around this a lot, but not to my satisfaction.. .

First of all, I've never been a dub. However, when my JW friend was trying to convert me, I asked one simple question that they couldn't answer: "JWs used to be called Bible Students, right?" (correct), "Well, in the 1920's a group broke off with different doctrine and became JWs...yet there were still Bible Students, and those Bible Students are still here today with the same, unchanged doctrine - "what makes JWs right and the original Bible Students wrong?"
That was the start of my JW friend slowly fading away from converting me.

Hey....
if you want more general information, go to YOUTUBE and type in : HH2, or Alternative fuels, or Hydrogen fuel, etc.
There are literally dozens and dozens of interesting videos of people from all over the world who are doing this. Also type in: air car, or compressed air car, solar car etc. facinating.

I've never been a JW, but I did ask my JW friend, whatever happened to the original bible students... He said that they just became JWs.... WRONG. The following article is from the jwfacts.com website..... I think it might be some good
ammunition"food for thought"...Bible Students
When Russell started the Watchtower Society, his followers were referred to as Bible Students. At Russell’s death in 1916, Rutherford took control of the legal entity known as the Watchtower Society. However, after Rutherford’s failed predictions for 1925 and overhaul of Watchtower doctrine the majority of Bible Students departed from Rutherford. To differentiate his followers from other Bible Student groups Rutherford took the name Jehovah's Witnesses. To this day there are active Bible Students globally.
The Watchtower currently claims that Jesus chose the Watchtower Society in 1919 as his cleansed people. It is interesting that Bible Students still hold to the majority of the 1919 Watchtower teachings, whereas Jehovah's Witnesses do not. If Jesus truly had chosen a group of people in the year 1919 based on their accurate understanding of truth, then that group today would have to be Bible Students and not Jehovah's Witnesses. Whereas Rutherford changed many of the Watchtower teachings during the 1930’s, Bible Students hold to core Watchtower beliefs instigated by Russell and held in 1919. The understanding of the Bible given in Russell’s Studies in the Scriptures are not described as old truth, but still held to as accurate interpretations resulting from God’s direction. These include doctrine still believed by Jehovah's Witnesses, such as;- Jehovah is not part of a Trinity
- An earthly paradise
- The importance of the Ransom
- The coming of Armageddon
- The expiration of the gifts of the spirit
- Man being a soul, not having a soul
They also hold to 1919 teachings later rejected by Rutherford, including;
- The sign of the pyramid
- Zionism
There are various Bible Student branches. Rather than strictly organized under a governing body as Jehovah's Witnesses are now, they hold to the structure instigated by Russell, including open bible discussion and home churches. Information about Bible Students can be found at;

Dear Rachel....
First of all, take a deep breath and slowly exhale.......
Everyone.... and I mean EVERYONE gets to a certain age or point in this "journey" we call LIFE and feels EXACTLY the way you do...so your're not alone. The difference, at this very moment, is that most of us have figured out a way to get on and through this journey without being overwhelmed by those feelings. So, your task, isn't in figuring out "what the h*ll is life all about" and "why do I have to go through all of this crap", but rather what CAN I do to be empowered to handle this journey, and not sit back and be reactive to the onslaught of "life". I am not a psychologist, but I am someone who can tell you what works for me (everyone's different).
1. Keep things simple (in fact there's a little book called "Don't Sweat the small stuff....(and it's all small stuff)"
2. Whatever is bothering me, I break it down into smaller tasks, feelings, situations (whatever) that can be handled
3. It's hard at first, but don't cheat yourself out of looking at the POSITIVES in life (look around, they're EVERYWHERE) ... you'll be surprised at how just changing your focus into another direction can deminish the negatives.
4. Talk to someone... especially a professional (they're available for free ... you just have to do some research) they can give you the tools to put you on the right track so you won't have to be "suffering" so.
Try to remember..... when you get down the road 10, 15, 20, or 30 years from now, you WILL look back at the way you use to think and give "power" to mostly insignificant things and think to yourself... "whatever"...and "what was I thinking"...
this is my 2 cents, given out of concern that you're not feeling great, and knowing that the gift of LIFE is truly worth living - the good, the bad and the ugly.

Hi fellow Californian...
I visited the U.K. several years ago and really enjoyed the trip. Flew into London. Stayed there for four days. Took a train up to Edinburough (spelling) Scotland. Stayed there for three days. Took the train down to Liverpool - stayed for a day and a half. Flew a half hour over to Dublin and was there for three days. Then flew back to London for a couple of more days, then back to Los Angeles. My suggestion would be to get a rail pass before you leave (they're cheaper). I got a 4-day pass (it didn't matter what four days you used). On the trip from Scotland to Liverpool we upgraded to First Class (very reasonable). I think the rail pass is the way to go if you want to see a lot of the country. My only regret is not having enough time to see more ... would have like to have seen Wales. In fact, if I had a couple of more days I think there was a ferry that went from Dublin to Wales and then a train back to London.
Next time I'm either going to spend more time, or just visit a couple of places at a time....there's a lot to see.

What should upset you the most about high gas prices
by free2beme inyour paying so much in gas right now that it has brought out national economy to its knees, and yet the thing that should upset you this most is this .... the goverment is doing "nothing!".
not one bill has been passed, plan implemented or action taken.
all talk and no action, which is why our government needs to be fired and replaced or this country is done.. .

We went through this in the 70's with the government promising "Never Again"..... yeah, right.... both parties are to blame...no leadership at all, AND the public is partially to blame for not holding the politicians feet to the fire to keep their promises.
W need real leadership to do ALL sides of the issue:
Short term - drill everywhere (before the Chinese and Cubans take it from us) AND
Long term - have a "manhattan project" in developing alternative fuels to get us off of ALL foreign oil.
I think we would do better to dig up the all the dead leaders from World War 2 .... they knew how to make things happen (they couldn't be worse).
